Outlook /CleanViews

Yesterday I had a need to run one of the many Outlook command line switches (/CleanViews) to resolve two different, but straightforward issues.

Problem 1: The Outlook replied-to icon doesn't appear on messages which have been replied-to. This was seen on Outlook 2000 SR1/2/3. Running the /CleanViews command restored the icon.

Problem 2: When trying view the Outlook calendar, a greyed-out pane with the error "Unable to display the folder. Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again." was displayed. Again, running /CleanViews fixed this issue.

Hi Chris,
Do you know what is the possible reason of problem 2? One of my user was trying to link a public folder to his faviorate folder and suddenly this happened and the problem could be reproduced on his pc. He has to reboot his pc every time this happens. I am going to try your method on his pc, but I am just wondering if you know the real reason or not. Thanks.
