Seaside Software's XKey

I've just seen another plug for this product, so I thought it worthy of a mention here.

Xkey securely stores all of your Exchange data and the application logic to execute it - on a key that fits in the palm of your hand. With Xkey you can load your Exchange data on any USB-equipped PC and run online/offline it through a simple web browser - instantly, without any new server or client software installation or configuration!

* Plug your Exchange mailbox into any USB-compatible PC or thin-client
* Plug 'n work-no software or configuration required
* Grab 'n go-leaves no trace on host PC
* Strong encryption protects unauthorized access in case of loss

Check out XKey here.

Nifty idea! Thanks, Neil!

But... but... 256MB for $300US?
My mailbox is 3.5GB!

Cool, but...It's gonna take a lot of 256MB stick to fit my entire mailbox.

I've seen teh Xkey in a trade show (IT Forum) - it's really cool and very secure. I also have a large mailbox, but the 256MB Xkey is enough because it takes the most recent stuff only (first in first out).

XKey sounds great - but I can't find a retailer anywhere in the UK. Anybody know where I can buy one?

Hi Simon,

I've not seen them for sale in the UK... I'll get in touch via 'sales.emea@seasidesw.com' and see what they've got to say.

Hi Simon,

I've got the contact details for a UK supplier... I won't post them here until I get the all clear from the person that I've been told to contact (it's a mobile phone number, and an e-mail address!). If you get in touch though I'll e-mail them to you.
